Baby Arrival Congratulations Message

This past Sunday, following an article I read in a magazine, I knew the existence of this small country.
Located in the Himalayas, between India and China.
rural country where there are bases its economy on agriculture.
has an area of \u200b\u200b47,000 km2 and about 2 million people: over 50% are illiterate and life expectancy is less than 54 years.

is one of the most isolated countries in the world: television arrived only last a couple of years.
The entry of foreign visitors to the country was not authorized until the 70's and today, still in many parts of the country is restricted tourism to keep intact the local culture. Just come to it tourist tours willing to spend more than $ 100 a day (government regulation).
was the first country in the world which totally banned the sale of snuff, and any activity in this regard. No smoking allowed in public anywhere. And if this were not enough, there is a 100% tax on cigarettes imported for private consumption.
Unlike the vast majority of countries where the national sport is football, baseball, basketball or similar, in Bhutan archery practice.

The fact is that if these data were not curious enough, have something truly amazing: they are capable of measuring the "Happiness Gross Interior (IFF) " of its inhabitants.

What is this, you will wonder? Well, no more than an index that determines the psychological wellbeing of its citizens.
Among other variables, taking into account access to healthcare, conservation of natural resources of the country or the time they can enjoy with their families.

All this may seem a bit surreal (at least so I thought at first), but if we stop to think about what countries do (allegedly) developed: ....¿ do something to measure it, or at least try? ...

Worldwide measure our progress and calibrate our being based on very narrow materialist indicators: the rate of economic growth, in turn based on measures of GDP. The more we produce, sell and buy, the more the GDP grows, and more are we supposed to (according to conventional wisdom tells us).
But the vital factors, both social and environmental standards, are invisible to these measures ...

So what is it's so surreal FIB? Is that these things arise only the developing countries that virtually no one knows? And most importantly, do you think that something like this work in the world who do know? Ala, recinteros, to give a little coconut!

PD._ at least after that you too shall know of the existence of this curious country ...
