9 Days Post Ovulation
One issue that always strikes me is the Jewish Holocaust.
Perhaps the last book I read, "The Diary of Anne Frank", I have remembered all this tragedy, which still, today, can not understand.
recently saw in a magazine several interviews with former members of the SS (Nazi Party paramilitary unit, the German Schutzstaffel). Had actively collaborated with the Nazis at Auschwitz, torturing and even murdering hundreds of Jews.
Apart from the coolness that is needed to participate in such a slaughter, the most scared me was that in the current day (and colleagues, I speak of 2006), none of them regretted their actions. Even openly say it again do (unfortunately, fanaticism always clouds the reason.)
Unquestionably, in the German concentration camps (which were in force between 1933 and 1945) have produced the largest massacres of human beings. The figures refer me (shocking, but sadly true):
- psychological stress, witnessing the murder of others (including the family), the uncertainty continues, the sad environment, impact, etc ...
- Diseases: malaria, typhoid, tuberculosis, anemia, etc ... If the prisoners did not die immediately as a result of their illnesses, were selected to be sent to the gas chambers because they were no longer able to work.
- medical experiments: to protect the purity of the German race, ordered the mass sterilization of those inmates belonged to races rated "inferior" according to Nazi ideology. Other SS doctors carried out tests on new drugs (often harmful) infecting healthy inmates to test the effectiveness of these drugs. The inmates of concentration camps, funds were also used to complete anatomical (ie, collections of skeletons etc. ..)
- Murder by lethal injection : 10ccm phenol injection injected directly into the heart. The victims died on the spot. They were called one by one and ordered them to sit in a chair in the ambulance. Two prisoners held the hands of victims, a third party blindfolded. Then, they inserted the needle into the heart and emptying the syringe. Thus died between 30 and 60 people daily. The prisoners feared the admission to the nursing since they had to have "lethal injection, even when only suffered a mild illness.
- punishment: in the fields, any excuse was good to punish prisoners. These were a disguised form of murder. Examples: punishment cells in which only one could stand in the dark, food deprivation, tying prisoners with hands behind his back to the stake, so that your feet do not touch the ground, etc. ..
- The scaffold : a kind of gallows. Usually on the scaffold they were executed prisoners who had attempted to escape. They were murdered in public. It was a painful death not ensuing in the act.
- Shootings
- gas chambers : it was the most efficient in the extermination of human beings. The SS were served hydrogen cyanide, Zyklon B, which in a sealed space, evaporated to body temperature, resulting in a very short time the death by suffocation.
without saying Many Jews chose suicide to such a scenario (an interesting thought if we realize that " man is the only animal that threatens his own life ).
This kind of xenophobia still exists among us (not the same intensity and savagery) to the current date. The curious thing is that you talk to who you talk .. "No one is racist! Of course, while his daughter will not marry anyone, or their children not to share classroom. Our actions betray us.
live in a society of cynicism, hypocrisy.
And what is better, shut up and be accepted, or speak and be expunged? Clearly, the first option appears to be hottest ...
